As part of their 2023 pre-season tour, Manchester City FC wanted to produce an in-person fan activation in Tokyo themed around karaoke and Shibuya nightlife. We led the art direction and branding for an entire floor of Shibuya’s iconic Karaoke Kan, themed around the club’s ties to Hacienda club culture, as well as visual nods to Lost in Translation's famous Karaoke Kan scene. Over 500 local City fans came to experience this unique opportunity, with a lucky few even getting to sing Wonderwall and other City anthems with players that included Bernardo Silva, Scott Carson, as well as Manchester City legends Joleon Lescott and Shaun Wright-Phillips.
